Dodgeball
People all over the country are talking about how this safe (we play with a gator skin covered foam ball) fun filled sport is making a big come back!
For your average recreational player or those
that just want to get into shape, this is a sport worth looking into.
Anyone can play, its cheap, you can meet new people, stay in shape,
re-live your elementary school glory days, or just test your dodging
or throwing abilities with your bosses, friends, family and co-workers.
Whatever your reasons maybe we would love to have you join our league
at The Wave.
Dodgeball is played six on six using the national
dodgeball association rules and regulations. Eight soft dodge
balls are used in this highly competitive game.
Adult leagues are offered in the fall and the winter.

International Court Soccer
The game of International Court Soccer is played
in a racquetball or squash court using a specifically designed ball.
The game is traditionally played one-on-one, but can be enjoyed in
a round-robin tournament style as well. The walls of the court make
for infinite combinations of playing situations that in turn give the
player an equal amount of creative ways to play the ball. One may use
this as a training aid to develop skills in traditional soccer, as
a way to recuperate from injuries in a more controlled manner, or as
a fun and demanding workout with friends or family. One can make ICS
fun, friendly and recreational, or it can be very competitive and physically
demanding. Thus, playing and enjoying a game of ICS is possible for
a wide range of ages, physical conditions, and skill levels.

Raquetball
Racquetball is one of the few games where one
can receive a good aerobic workout and have a high energy competitive
match with a friend at the same time! It can serve as an alternative
to repetitive workouts that may become "boring" after awhile.
It also can be a great stress release after a long work day. Racquet
sports have been proven to release stress due to the physical and mental
nature of the game e.g. mental focus, body coordination, eye/hand control,
timing, and repetitive ball striking. And its great fun. The average
player can receive a very excellent workout playing racquetball for
an hour. The game began in the late 60's as a spin-off of handball
and paddleball (wooden racquet sport) and now has evolved into its
own sport. At advanced levels, players
have been compared to professional level athletes due to speed of the
game, agility, and overall athletic demands of the sport. At the pro
levels, players can hit the ball 170 mph and matches can last for over
1.5 hours to 2 hours of play. This is like sprinting for 1.5 hours.
The Wave offers a variety of programs in racquetball
including juniors and children instruction, women’s events, adult
instruction, mini-tournaments, special events that include a challenge
and partner ladder, and private lessons. There are two premiere viewing
courts at The Wave.
Racquetball Courts may be reserved up to three
(3) days in advance. Please sign up at the Service Desk. However,
same day reservations must be made at least one hour in advance. Unreserved
